After recording Albert Lord in his office at Harvard, he arranged for me to meet with a community of Guslar Singers and ethnomusicologists in Belgrade, 1988.
I went there and to Greece while working on a new project funded by the ICA, Boston. The completed work, STRING CYCLES was initially produced as a videotape in 1989, followed by an interactive video installation that premiered at the Kwangju Bienniale, South Korea, 1995.
